Ultra Sonic Cleaners

I'm looking at getting out of the stone age and going with ultra sonic cleaning. Who makes the best available and why? Perhaps you have tried ultra sonic and did not like it, why? Thanks for your input! :)

I have the Harbor Freight and the short trimmer is a real pain but it works very well. The wife loves it for her jewelry and things also. If mine ever breaks, I will get one with available longer cycle duration.

The top-of-the-line units I found are German, made by Elma. The US distributor for Elma (tovatech) also has one of the best descriptions I could find (and understand) about how an ultrasonic system works and what to look for in a top quality unit. Since the the value of the Euro is way down against the USD, you might get a better deal than their sticker price - even better than any discounts they're currently offering. (Tell them you're a hobbiest.) Even so, you'd better gird your loins tightly before looking at the prices of these precision instruments.

Elma used to have a link to a commercial case processor that uses an Elma ultrasonic cleaner. I couldn't find the link on their current website, but I did find it on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbHyY5ikXd4 I'd like to work in that guy's shop for a few days.

About 3 months ago I bought a 2L Hornady heated model. I absolutely love it.
I got real tired of brushing out my match brass and this really does the trick.
I use it for cleaning my AR bolt assemblies and will NEVER go back to the brush and scrape method.
Got it for $100 on sale somewhere......Widners or Natches.......
I use the Hornady solutions - both the brass cleaner and gun cleaning solutions. At 1:40 they will last forever.
Use a coffee filter (poly, not paper) to recycle your solutions and get maximum mileage from your concentrates.

Thanks Guys. I spoke for a used Hornady on here. Figure I will try it to to see how things go. Once I have my likes/dislikes confirmed, I can either go bigger or scrap the idea and not be out much. Sounds like the way to go and my guess is I will be trading up.
