I picked up some 115 Tubbs to try but they are moly coated. My rifle shoots 105 Lapua's very well and I don't want to mess this up so I plan on taking the moly off these 115's before I try them out.
Over night, I soaked 10 bullets in a water/soap/windex,ammonia in windex) mix and most of the moly was off in the morning. What was not, can off easy with Never-Dull.
Has anyone tried removing moly from bullets with a ultra sonic cleaner? I can not see it causing any issues but.... after all, the lead should be seated in the jacket so that should not come loose, etc.
Interested in anyone that has tried this and what the end result was, on the bullet and target, good, bad or what... being in Canada, trading them for naked is out of the question! Import/export permits etc... hard enough just to get these...
