Ugly Rifles

I know that there is a section called "Pride and Joy", but I would like to get a posting of some of the ugly rifles used in competition. There are two schools of thought on beautiful rifles vs ugly ones. One is the Forrest Gump theory..." Pretty is as pretty does" and the other is " If you can't shoot good, you must look good. I submit a candidate from the first category. This is Henry Child's long range rifle chambered by him for a 6mm Wildcat based on a shortened .270 case. Enjoy! James

Of course Nancy (Mrs. Henry) Childs has one that might compete. She shot in the 190's at a recent 600 yard match with this rifle.

I really love the first and last picture. So relaxing looking at them and makes me wish i could put a coate and some boots on and head out their and do some hiking.

I took a perfectly ugly long range benchrest rifle and turned it into an even uglier long range coyote hunting rifle.

Henry and Nancy may have ugly rifles but they are some of nicest folks I have met. But it is funny soon as I get home I see pictures of their rifles since I just met them this weekend at Byers.
