We celebrated July 4th burning powder burning powder at Dry Branch. Many of our regulars had family obligations, vacation, etc and couldn't make it, but we still had nineteen rifles competing in all four classes. It was hot and humid as expected and the winds were light and variable giving the mirage a chance to trip up shooters. Richard Alford, trying to burn up a barrel, shot the same rifle in both Custom & Unlimited and won both, Tony Epley took Modified and Russell Scales got the win in Factory giving Joey Gregory a rare loss. Most of us will do it again next Saturday at Boyle County and the week after that at Red Brush. Come and shoot with us.
