U.S. based rounds invented

As i looked threw the Lapua 2021 catalog a thought came to me. As i looked in the back of all the loaded ammo they offer for sale i see 18 different rounds as best i can tell. Out of those I see just shy of 1/2 those are American ideas and the rest are from other countries. America seems to me has brought about a huge share of the pie as far as rounds invented here by military or Shooters. I'm so glad to be born here in the U.S. what a blessing.. Wonder how many of those inventors came from other countries into the US, for various reasons i.e. fleeing Europe, etc due to political and/or war crimes.

Considerable number of American cartridges are based on a European cartridge that was out first, 7x57 is grampa to a pile of US and other Euro cartridges, the 375H&H and 300H&H to the bulk of the magnums, not sure who had rimmed cartridges first, or the rebated rim, lot of stuff off the 404Jeffrey around, and the 416Rigby. The bulk of the modifications have certainly been done in the US though, and have naturally spread around the world.

correct. when they got to America many who had talents and dreamed of a new round where here to do so and developed their dream round. My family came from Germany in 1800 and so glad they did.

+It just seams to me from what I see that the Americans more so than any other country take and make a new round like the 222 and it turns into one of the greatest rounds ever invented to takes and existing one and make changes and come up with a newer and better idea. and on it goes. I see the Americans as #1 in doing that.....
