Typical pricing for .243 Win ammo?

Presently 5.56 can be had for as low as about $0.42 and 7.62x39 for about $0.79 (in brass). Got to thinking let's check out what good pricing looks like and or the first time in a long time checked .243. So looks like .243 is at about $1.75 ~ $2.25. I appreciate that that's for the best available but still pricy. Is that because it's hunting season or what? What's typical in the off season?

I've seen Hornady 243 ammo going for $45-50 plus tax. Stupid high prices. One store in Tulsa has CCI LRP for $240 and tax per 1000. That;s just gouger prices.
$240.00 per 1,000 is pretty darned cheap. Maybe you meant per 100?

Seeing some more powders. Not exactly pre pricing but better. But that stuff usually comes in country this time of year. Better get it if you want it. As far as 243….. in the day 25 to 30 bucks was norm for the premium in our area. Especially good hunting stuff. I don’t think you should have to pay gouging prices but even velvetta has almost doubled at the grocery store. This isn’t the same world as pre 2021. Sorry folks inflation and our government is a bitch. Good hunting.
