Typical 1000-Yard F-Open group size?

What is the typical group size, mainly vertical, in a 5 shot group. Or in a 20 shot string with a calm or stable wind for 1000 yard. New to this and trying to see what the normal expectations are typically. Obviously less is better. I’m shooting a 6 dasher for midrange that I’m using to learn wind at 1000

Thanks,

Alan

I found several 20 round F-open 1000 yard targets and the best measured around 0.65 MOA and the average measured around 1.5 MOA.

This group is about 0.75moa wide and 1.25 MOA tall. Much much better if you take shots #10 and #4 out of the equation (if life was only so easy).

Conclusion first: If you want to go have fun competing, 8" of vertical (20 shots) will do everything you would ever want to do. Honestly, given moderate windy conditions and good wind strategy, you can place in the top 3 of the US F-class National Championships with a rifle that is no better than 7" nearly every year, or at least from 2019 to 2021 you could.

Discussion and recent results:
I rarely shoot in a low wind or stable condition. I shot two relays during the Rattlesnake match, in absolutely wild conditions, a coupe of weeks ago. One relay had a 20 shot vertical of 7.5" and the other, ~8.8" - both were the same load and capable of a 50%+ x-count clean. The shooter, not so much (that day). Even with a few pros present, the highest single relay score was 195-8x during those first two relays... Most groups were not less than 15" wide...

I know there was some vertical in there from both fighting the mirage and the wind.

Caveat: I was not shooting some super-developed load for this barrel. It was my standard load (a starting point).
