Nice shot, doc! I don't see any blood on that dog. Maybe it's just the photo.

I killed one at 1059 yards a couple years back with a 105 Berger Hybrid and we couldn't find a hole in it anywhere. The rib-cage was a little catty-wampus though. I figure the bullet bounced off the ground in front of it and hit it sideways in the rib-cage. The 105s are really out of steam at over 1000 yards. I've picked up two literally undamaged on mounds I was shooting that far or beyond.
