Two step verification

I was wondering what phone app people on this forum use to enable two step verification, both for Apple and Android phones.

Bob, I think the other option was an email code as a two step id, at least that's what I changed to recently, I wasn't comfortable with an app verification

Apps a good way to go for me at least...the more safe guards you have the better..its only gettin worse out there in cyberspace.

I use Google Authenticator.

It is a poorly run tool. At least the last time I looked, it was not end to end encrypted. Why would one deploy Google Sync for Authentication and not encrypt it?

As Google Authenticator does not offer end-to-end encryption, the data is stored on Google's server in a format that unauthorized users could potentially access, whether through a Google breach or an unscrupulous employee

^^^ It was recommended to me by the sites that require it. I've never researched it in any way, maybe time to do so. Thanks.
