Two Piece vs One Piece rings for rail

What is everyone's opinion on two vs one piece rings for picatinny rail setups? I've always used two piece rings on my bolt guns. Seems like most use a one piece ring setup on AR15s which got me thinking, why not use one piece for my bolt guns too? Or vice versa.... why not use two piece rings on AR15s?

Seems like two piece rings make the most sense, or at least on bolt guns. Even the highest quality one piece rings have to contend with base misalignment resulting from misaligned receiver mounting holes. Maybe that problem is limited to bolt action guns since ARs typically have an integrated rail system....?

Curious what other have to say on this topic.

2 piece base and 2 separate rings for hunting.

For everything else I prefer 1 piece base and irrelevant if it has a 1 piece mount or 2 rings as long as they're good quality.
