Two New Actions from Kelbly's! The Prometheus and Nanook!

Hey guys and gals!

Everyone at Kelbly's is excited to announce our all new Prometheus and Nanook Actions! We are offering a $150 discount on pre ordered actions that are paid in full at the time of pre order with delivery beginning in January of 2022.

We took feedback from our customers that use our Atlas actions and Black Bear actions, and created the Prometheus. Featuring all integral rail and recoil lug, a Remington 700 footprint, our one piece bolt, and our all new anti-shear bolt stop! The Prometheus short action weighs in at 31 ozs. The body is made from 416 billet, and the bolt is made from 41 series chromoly. The one piece bolt features our Tilted TG Ejector, and Sako extractor setup for reliability in the field. The all new anti-shear bolt stop is able to slide back and impact the action body relieving all pressure off of the bolt stop screw. The Prometheus is only for AICS/AW style magazines, it will not be available with an ADL/BDL cut out. The only finish available will be in BlackNitride as it offers increased slickness when cycling and increased corrosion resistance in extreme environments.

The Nanook is built from the same material and the same bolt as the Prometheus but is skeletonized to save weight in hunting rifles. The Nanook short action weighs in at 24 ozs and still utilizes our standard bolt, making it much easier for existing Atlas, or Black Bear customers to have switch barrel and bolt rifles. The Nanook also features our all new anti-shear bolt stop design.

The Prometheus and Nanook both feature the exact same tenon and headspace as all existing Atlas actions, allowing you to use any existing barrels on these new actions!

From my perspective (ie. the accountant) these new ones cost a lot of machine time. These new actions are pushing growth and we have room for one more CNC mill and then we are tapped out of space. Makes it fun though, finding ways to be better and grow consciously. Our staff is top notch, the guys here are constantly pushing each other to be better, to find efficiency, and to raise the bar.
