Wow, so you were close to going into battle? When were you going to inform the rest of us?
My point was we're losing moderate conservative support with every mass shooting.

I thought I was the last one to know. Every one I was talking to even the ones who I did not know they had firearms were ready to go.

Yes we are. It is truly sad. It does tell us who we can not vote for. If they are willing to remove rights from us like that then they do not deserve our votes.

I wish you guys had seen Walter E Williams on TV Sun. evening. I am a big fan and don't know why I wasn't aware of him.

Unfortunately there are far too many Americans who do not know who Walter Williams is. There interests are elsewhere.

The new Fox show on Sunday "Life Liberty and Levin" was stellar because Dr. Williams was the first and only guest. It should have been watched by anyone who is seriously interested in "why we are who we are". But I don't think most Americans would be interested in the conversation Levin and Williams had. One of Dr. Williams points was that guns don't do anything different now than they did when he was a boy....the difference now is "morality". So are we a society that has sufficient moral clarity and values to have a Second Amendment?

If a terrorist runs people down with a truck it's the terrorist
If he stabs people with a knife it's the terrorist
If he makes a bomb and kills scores its the terrorist
If he shoots people it's the gun.

This kind of illogical thinking is beyond fixing. The very fact that there is a debate is bad enough much less trying to reason with people who cannot be reasoned with.

Us older fellers remember 20 pages of weapons and ammo in the Sears Catalog, as well as Monkey Wards, and Western Auto. Why do we have all of our present problems with restrictive gun laws? We carried our rifles around all the time when I was young. Nobody got shot.
Doesn't anybody really wonder why! We had very very little bullying.
Thank about what was really different then and now.

Only a moral people can sustain a Republic. The jury is in.
