twist rate

Ordered a Krieger 1-8.2 twist 26" barrel for my 7-08 thinking I was a badass and really want to shoot at 600-1000 yards. The smith said 150 is a great bullet for the 7-08. NO NO NO I'm going to shoot way out there and I need 162s or 180s.

after looking at the ballistics it seems that 150s would be perfect but I probably have too much twist.

Jimmy, give them a try, they may suprise you and shoot just fine. Breaking in my new 243AI, using 68Gr. Flat Base bullets which are certainly not ideal for a 9 twist barrel, you can see that they still perform very well, it's always better to have a little to much twist, rather than not enough twist.
