Twist needed for 284 Shehane

What twist barrels are being used for 284 Shehane ? want to run 180gr Hybreds,
or if they are released Berger 195. I know what is optimal for one might not be for
the other.
I normally like to go 1/2" faster than really necessary, bullets today are much better than the old days when we ran 14T 30cal with 168's to not see the defects in jacket quality.

Most guys right now are shooting 1:9 twist for the 180gr hybrids.

When/If the 190+gr hybrids come out, 1:8 - 1:8.5 twist will probably be the ticket.

FYI, the twist rate is not related to the cartridge. Its associated with the bullet you are shooting, so the 284 Shehane and 7 SAUM guys shooting the same bullet will be using similar twists.

If you're planning on going heavier later, 1-8 twist will be best. It will work great with the 180's as well.
