Turning 7-08 brass into 260AI with R19

Im looking for some suggestions for this whole process. I have 100 pieces of virgin winchester 7mm-08 brass, and i am buying a used Redding standard 260 FL die. I have been hearing a little about there being more then one step to the process or should i be able to run the 7-08 brass through the 260 die and have a 260 case in bad need of neck turning?

I am also going to be fireforming the brass and breaking the barrel in at the same time. Just wondering if anyone knows a good load for fireforming with R19 and 140gr. Noslers. Thanks for any help.

be sure to check OAL as well. when I couldn't find 260 brass I used .243 win, and had to trim it, as the oal length was much shorter. I believe that remington did this on purpose, for headspace reasons, or wrong ammo chambering, something like that. just check OAL.

I don't see why you couldn't partially size 7-08 brass to get a 'false shoulder' in the neck for fire forming. I personally prefer 7-08 brass for my 260.

I turn Win 7-08 into 260Rem with a single pass thru a Redding Type S FL die with a .290 bushing, I use the expander mandrell that comes with the die, after fire forming I shed the expander or use Reddings carbide floating ball to iron out dents from my Surgeon Action overly strong ejector spring, neck thickness is pretty uniform for unturned brass, and accuracy improves drastically after firing.
