Turn or No-Turn 6 dasher

Debating if I should go with a .266 tight neck 6 Dasher or go with a No Turn neck ?
If any of you have any experience with either or suggestions, any input or experience is welcome. I will be using lapua brass, and 105 vld or 108 Bergers.

Also, if going with a tight neck, how do you prepare the brass for fireforming? Do you turn the full case neck, half or what prior to using the false shoulder method ....

Thanks for the input.

I have had 2 other Dashers, and currently having my 3rd built. Dont ask.. just all I can say it fully research and get in behind different stock designs before committing to one. It does make a difference to the individual!

First one was a 0.265' neck.. will never ge another again..

Second.. no turn... was very very accurate...

Third.. another no turn 0.272' neck.

Think of it this way. I have read guys shooting a no turn chamber of 0.271'. I do not know how close this is to a loaded round and do a little research first.

Shoott eh laods in a minimum no turn chamber, and then once fireformed give the brass a very very light turn. This is what I will do if I can be bothered.. but chances are it will shoot that well I will not even consider it.

If I were to get a turned chamber.. 0.270'... but I will never get one again on the 6mmDasher.

There you go.. 0.271'

The reamer I ordered has 0.125'FB. I like the 107MK's and felt this freebore would be good for them, plus I want to jam 35 grains of H4350 in it to try out!

Maybe I should have gone for the 0.271' as well!

I've owned and/or built 5 different Dashers; all were chambered with a reamer that cuts a .274' no-turn neck, and all have been tack-drivers. The .271' neck leaves little or no margin for carbon build-up or any other problems - too much risk for such a small return in the form of increased accuracy IMHO. I've got the same .274' neck on my 6BR reamer, while my 6x47L has a .273' neck. I don't have accuracy issues with any of the bbls. I've chambered with these reamers - nor have I had any pressure problems that were caused by too tight a neck/chamber interface.
