Tuning a trigger Tech?

I saw an ad on here for someone selling their PRS rifle and they mentioned that they had a trigger Tech Diamond tuned that would go down to 1 oz.

I've never heard of anyone tuning a trigger Tech Diamond trigger to go down in pull weight. Is this possible? I love my TT diamonds, if I could get them to even 2 oz that would be awesome.

The only Trigger Tech that I have is on my Weatherby Mark V Weathermark LT. Installed at the Weatherby factory.

I gotta say, definitely one of my favorite triggers!

Never even thought about tuning it.

If you’re interested in buying, I would ask for details regarding how the trigger was tuned/modified, then contact TriggerTech for their input. Based on discussions I’ve had with them, I doubt that they will recommend/approve any modifications.

Oh, I don't plan on buying it, I was just curious about it, because I'd never heard of it. I have a couple TT diamonds that I'd love to get into the 2 oz range, but it appears that probably wouldn't be the best idea.

Don’t know what was done to “tune” the trigger on the PRS rifle OP mentioned, but I know LOTS of people who refer to simply turning down the pull weight on an adjustable trigger as “tuning”. TriggerTech Diamonds are designed to have adjustable pull weight. I’ve adjusted one to the minimum of its range without any negative consequences on a R700 clone bolt rifle. Mine adjusted down to just over 2 ozs.

I have a couple that will go below 4oz and one that will go low enough to become non-trust worthy. I wouldn’t want to squad with someone in PRS moving a gun with 1oz trigger. Everyone has their own opinion, mine is that is becoming too dicey for everyone else’s safety.

I'd agree for a PRS rifle. I was asking because I'd love one in a bench gun, that would go that low.

I’ve had a few come through the shop. Never cared for the feel, they just never break super clean to me. I’m sure they can be adjusted to be better but I never wanted to break the seal and void the warranty. Bix is my go to since Jewel is gone. They don’t complain about adjusting them..

I have several of the CG Jacksons that I really like. Have one TT Diamond that is adjusted down as low as it will go (the second stage set screw is all the way out) and still too heavy (Prone/Sling). Also feel that the WOP is inconsistent. Feels OK on one shot and the next seems much heavier.
If I had a CG that would fit the Barnard "S" trigger hanger, I would switch the TT out.
