Tuner location - Behind or forward of muzzle on LV contour Barrel

Sure this must have been talked about , just trying to find it is hard, On a 21 inch barrel is there a better location for a 4.5 oz tuner to be placed to get maximum efficiency from it as far as tuning your load , there are tuners that are forward of muzzle and ones that are behind, is one location any better then the other , this would be placed on a LV 6ppc barrel, any thoughts or experience.
