Tuner design

I have 2 tuners, on different rifles [1 on a 30 br the other a 6bra]. one the expansion chamber is in the rear. The other is in the front.
I don't know how else to describe it.
They both seem to work. My question is - is one design better than the other?

We use the Gene Beggs tuners, which Gene no longer makes but we do now. They add four ounces to the muzzle minus the weight of the thread you take off. They work for us on rimfire, air, and centerfire very well. The rimfire and air rifle tuners can be purchased in clamp configuration due to the small diameter of those barrels.

I have 3 of the center fire tuners. I have had great success with them on 6 different barrels.

Basically, one design isn't really "better" than another, except how one design might better address issues that you want to deal with. Like for me, I wanted one that would allow me to have a tuner mounted along with either a muzzle break or a suppressor. I found the ATS Tuner to work just as I had hoped, see pic:

I shoot mostly short/long range benchrest.. most tuners work ok..

For me the Dale Woolum tuner is the best.. you turn the large body to create the widest tune window that is flat then lock into place.. the thin outer ring is used for fine tuning during the match.

It does not take but a few tick marks of movement of that outer thin ring to bring into the sweet spot through the day.

Not sure if Dale is making these anymore..

small 4 oz one on my LV gun and the big one for my 1.45” rail gun barrel.
