Tumbling Nosler Ballistic Tips to coat with HBN ?

I have used hBN for the last 8 years including many A-MAX and now ELD-M for both my long range BR guns, 6BRX and 284 WIN.
I tumble them in glass jars in my vibrator held in place with 1/2" hardware store black foam (easy to cut!). I put in 1/2 medium straight slot screw driver blade of hBN and vibrate for 1 1/2 hour. Then I vibrate the bare coated bullets in media for 30min to remove the hBN coating leaving the hBN impacted into the cladding. This eliminates the inaccuracy problem with too much hBN on the surface of the bullets. Don't ask how I know this!!

I also clean extra HBN off with corn cobb media but only for a few minutes. I don’t think I need anywhere close to a half hour of cleaning. About ten minutes has been more than enough.

I've never tumbled HBN and tipped bullets, so I'm no help. I would try a small batch and see what happens.

Those that are tumbling with media to clean, are these tumblers dedicated for HBN bullets? I only have one tumbler and use with corn media with car wax for brass.

I bought a small used rock tumbler that I use empty 1lb powder bottles on. For cleaning I have a SS media wet tumbler. I think I paid $30 All in for the rock tumbler and I can put two bottles on it at once.
