Tucker Conversion

I have a Leupold scope with the Tucker Conversion that needs some repair. Does anyone know how to contact them for repairs.

Vernon, Cecils number at 1567 N. Jude Ave, in Odessa Tx, 79763 is,432) 530-2919.
If you don't mind me asking, What is the problem with the scope?? I have had quite a few that I have frozen that have had Tucker Conversions, so I pretty well know what can go wrong........jackie

I'm not sure what came loose inside the tube, but you can see some type of rings when you look through it. I sent it to Premier because i thought it was something they did. They called and said it had something to do with the Tucker conversion and i would have to send it to him.

What Cecil does to a scope is cut a small o-ring groove on the eye piece end of the erector tube in order to stabilize the tube in the radial direction. He also replaces the arch spring that holds the erector tube against the adjustment knob abubdements with a coil spring. That is it.
I can't amagine a case where this would cause "rings" to appear in the optic field. Strange.......jackie

Do you work on scopes with problems like this? I need someone to fix it and i know Leupold will not touch it after someone else has worked on it.

Vernon, I freeze scopes to be used with external adjustable mounts. However, I have learned quite a bit from tearing scopes apart, especially what can go wrong.
My point is that what Cecil does in no way affects the optics of a scope. I could take it apart for you and see what is going on in there........jackie

jackie Is there some type of metal bands or rings inside the scope tube that can come loose? That's what it looks like and when you shake it sounds like something metal moving inside the tube.

Vernon, there is nothing in there but an erector tube, a spring and plunger, a reticle, a wave spring, and a reticle retainer nut.
None of this can get in the way of the field of vision.
If you pay all of the shipping, I will take it apart and see what's going on in there. It only takes a few minutes to tear it apart, especially if it has already been taken apart once all ready.........jackie

jackie I will pay all the shipping if you dont mind looking at it. What is the address i need to send it to. As soon as i get it back from Premier i will send it to you. I want to thank you for all your help.

Vernon, I get things sent to my shop. Jackie Schmidt, c/o R.C. Schmidt & Sons Inc. 1215 Akron St. Houston, Tx, 77029.
I am assuming that this is a 36x Leupold.......jackie

Yes it is a 36x Leupold. It has the Tucker converson and the focuse has been moved to the tube. I will send it out as soon as i get it back.

Vernon, forget sending it to me. I have no idea how that focus moved to the tube is installed, and do not have the tools to remove it. I guess I can't help you on this one. Sorry.
I mentioned things that could aafect the field of view. Since Premier adds some sort of lens assy inside the scope that changes the focus, that would be my best guess as to were the annomally lies......jackie
