TSRA LR Championship

This year had a lot of drama, starting with the weather. Our options were to shoot electronics or go home. We chose to shoot electronics and deal with the issues as they show up which they did in spades.

I want to say thank you to all the Bayou crew for putting in all the hard work to make this happen and for doing your best to keep it going. It was a difficult job! Your hard work is very under appreciated.

For those who were quite unhappy and whinny with the situation, it was the same for everyone. All the targets had lots of problems so no one was exempt from the issues. Your other choice was to go home or they could have taken the easy way out and sent us home. Again thanks Bayou Crew.

CONGRATULATIONS to all the winners!

^ Larry, congratulations on another Texas F-Open championship, and keeping the title here. To think you told me in the second straight hour of rain delay Saturday morning as we stood in the mud by the accommodations, you were going home. Hahaha!

I agree Jen. Nothing Bayou or TSRA can do about 5" of rain getting dumped in two days. That said, walking in that parking lot was like walking in a WWI trench; I know I didn't go home with a pair of dry socks. :)

Congrats to all the winners! Those were difficult conditions, and you guys earned it.

David, he DID go home! What he did not tell you that he was going home Sunday after the match with the winnings and his name once again on the rather large trophy! LOL!!!

Here's TR. Hopefully someone has a higher resolution picture.

Edit: See David's post below. Much better quality picture. :)

It was a match to remember for sure. I always love to see and catch up with old friends, and make new friends at this match every year. Big kudos to Ben and the entire Bayou Rifles staff for making a State championship out of the crap sandwich that Mother Nature threw at us.

Does anyone have the final team match scores. Surely it will be posted sometime soon. Were the team matches even mentioned at the awards ceremony? I heard tell that they weren’t. The program said there would be a team aggregate.

Thank you Doug Skogman, Tim Vaught, Omar Alonzo, Johnny Ingram and a few others I sadly don't know their names. I can guarantee you this match would not have happened without this core group. They busted ass to get the Etargets up and running to keep from cancelling the match. Yes there were some problems, wind/rain and electronic targets don't play well together.

I appreciate the hard work this crew put in to make it happen. Many shooters traveled from all over and spent a lot of cash to come shoot the TSRA. Again, greatly appreciated!!

Congrats to all the winners!!!!

PJ was just showing off with that 200-3x :D:D

Thank you Ben, Deny and the many Bayou Rifle members that worked so hard to conduct this match under very difficult conditions. The easy out would have been to cancel the match, but I am very appreciative that you adapted and moved forward with the match under these conditions. IMHO running the eTargets was the best option under the circumstances. Based on my experience at the match, every time an issue came up with an eTarget, the Bayou Rifle Crew was there to work out a solution to keep the match going. I appreciate your significant efforts!!! Looking ahead, by running this match under these conditions we will learn how to mitigate some of the issues that came up and be able to improve upon running matches in such challenging conditions in the future. Thank you Bayou Rifle Crew!!!!

Congrats to all of the winners!!!
