Hey I am moving to Fort Drum, I have been searching the net for a couple of days and have not found any tactical LR matches or LR steel matches. Does anyone know of any clubs or matches or can you point me in the right direction I am willing to travel just have to take me some planning.

The only Tactical Style Matches I've heard of was held in the Lake George area. The only 1,000 yd. range I know of in the State is Forbes Rifle & Pistol outside Albany.....they hold Service Rifle and Fulbore (PALMA) Matches no steel........Massena Rod & Gun has been making improvments to the Range: http://www.massenargc.us/r&p.htm

I think you'll find more in the Rochester/Syracuse area and Northern PA. than in Northern NY State.
I'm also a Forum member there (same screen name) we have NRA High Power F-Class at Peru Rod & Gun Club just outside Plattsburgh, NY., and at Fort Ethan Allen in Jericho, VT once monthly.
We did at one time (seems like a life time ago now) Compete at Fort Drum with the 50BMG Club, not sure what happened to the program as that was in the late 90's.
