Truck shoot near San Antonio

Travis, I think your cross fit videos will qualify you as a prone shooter!!!
I, on the other hand, might be able to be in the old and decrepit class.

What are the yardages for this shoot?
I believe it’s 500 700-800 1000&1200 not 100% sure rules are a Harris or there like..22 lb weight limit includes everything on rifle plus rear bag does not include suppressor and has to be mag fed capable.

The flier makes it look like 1K only. Everyone shoots 3x, 10 rounds per.

I looked on their website and information is lacking on the specifics. It would be fun to try a new game but IDK what tool to bring for the job. If it's gotta be mag fed, then I'm limited to a 22" 6.5x47 hunting rifle. Maybe I'll check out one of their regular matches, as $450 (with membership) is a little steep for a newbie.

The "75% payout" format is more appealing to me then the "truck payout", since it is not as top heavy, that pays back better. But regardless of which purse is paid, there will be a very high margin of revenue from the entrant fee's that will not be going back to the shooters, regardless of which purse format gets used.

I get what you are saying about there is a very high margin that will not be going back to the shooters..but there is cost that goes into putting on one of these matches. I think a 75% payout is pretty good considering a lot of us shoot different disciplines that don’t pay anything. The way I see it place in the top 3 and that will probably pay for all your expenses and then some.

Agreed, and if I won and my prize for doing so was a mobile billboard I would then have to pay additional tax on Id be pissed. "Could I just get my entry fee back instead?"

Its a nice event. The truck will be up for grabs in the future. Don't know when that match will happen. Erik Cortina did win the last match. $15k in awards were given to the top 12 shooters.

Here is the video from the Truck SHoot. Congratulation to @Erik Cortina for taking home the big check. As other have said, they were not able to give away the truck, but they still had a huge payout fund just under $15,000. Cortina brought home $3800 not to bad for a few hours time...
