TRRC VFS 100/200 Match Report March 11th 2023

Match report for Tacoma Rifle and Revolver Club, Tacoma, Wa. 3.11.2023
Great start to the 2023 benchrest season at the TRRC. This is the first ever VFS NBRSA Registered match at TRRC. Our normal schedule includes group matches from April through September. Weather was cold with temps in the mid 40's at the start and about 50° at the warmest of the day. Conditions weren't too bad overall but they got switchy and it wasn't hard to get caught. There were 11 shooters. 9 of the 11 shot a 250
@ 100 yards. Jeff Lewis won the 100 yard agg (breaking a 4 way tie for 1st) with a 250 20x, Steve Kostanich was 2nd, and Jim Lynn 3rd. Jeff Lewis won the 200 yd agg not dropping a point with a 250 5x, , Bryan Zolnikov took 2nd with a 249 14x, Jeff Crose won 3rd with a 249 6x. Jeff Lewis won the grand aggregate with a 500 25x. Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all that came and shot. Thanks to Gary Vanlier, Karen Lynn, Jim Lynn, Jeff Lewis and his crew for putting on the match. Jim, what Iam trying to say is that Mr. Lewis did a great job at shooting against another great shooter who shot a 30BR. I agree, 30BR is very hard to beat at score shooting, but it can be done when the shooter is Phenomenal.

Nobody mentioned anything about a 6PPC anywhere in the post. I just couldn't understand why that was added what u said that's why I commented the way I did. Yes he kicked ass using that 6PPC. Once in a great while someone with one will put a whipping to those 30's.

No worries, I was just very proud of a friend who I knew was shooting a PPC. I know what you mean, when I started shooting score matches at Kenmore Wa, our friend and local older shooter would always school us with his 30BR.

No worries, I was just very proud of a friend who I knew was shooting a PPC. I know what you mean, when I started shooting score matches at Kenmore Wa, our friend and local older shooter would always school us with his 30BR.

They both rule. I prefer the 30BR for score because it’s more forgiving than the 6PPC when I mess up a hold over which, as you know, happens often
