Trouble with 6ARC chambering

Bought a Bear Creek Arsenal 6MM ARC. It will pick up a round from the magazine, but will not go into battery. If I drop the round in the chamber and then close the bolt, it chambers completely. Any ideas on how to resolve this? I did install a new buffer spring. That did not help.

Give us an expanded definition of "won't go into battery." Pics would help greatly.
I'm going to guess this an AR-15?
Yes, AR15. The bolt will not close completely therefore not allowing the round to be fired. But, as I stated if I drop a round into the chamber and then release the carrier group it will close completely and fire the round. Not much of an AR15 if I have to shoot it as a single shot.

You might need a heavier spring, possibly losing some it the energy when it strips the round off the magazine. Or if the chamber is just a hair small.
I did install a new buffer spring. I've heard that there are "heavy" buffer springs. That's my next option.

Look at your ejector. On the Grendel based cases, occasionally the sharp edge of the ejector catches the rim of the case as it releases from the mag. Solution is to either radius the ejector tip or put a small bevel on the bottom front of the ejector.

Is the factory ammo or reloads? Ammo Might be too long and needs the bullet seated deeper or could be not sized enough to bump the shoulder back. Might be on the ragged edge and needs just a little more clearance to chamber every time with less force.

Cheers,
Toby

When I had a ar15 in 6 arc I had a similar problem with 90g bullets. I could see scraps on the 2 ramps. Polished them up a tad, went to small base dies, set them a few thousanths deeper, put steel wool on a chamber brush spun the heck out of un-smooth chamber and no issues after that.

Sounds like the cartridge is too long. If it's factory ammo and it's a factory rifle chambered in 6ARC you need to go to factory and ask for help.
