Tripod for 20 mile wind

Buy a $150 surveyors tripod, then get a Manfrotto 3-way head off of ebay for $50 make an adapter to fit the tripod and never look back. Super sturdy and doesn't cost a fortune.

Depends on what your budget is. I've got a couple of BOG tripods. One's has an Arca attachment, and the other is their Death grip model. They are both bullet proof. The ones I got were like their standard mid priced models, not the high priced carbon fiber ones. Between the adjustability when it comes to how far they legs spread apart, I can almost guarantee you that the tripod would be sturdy at almost twice the wind speed you need. Great quality and you definitely get what you pay for with a BOG. For a tripod in the $200’s, you can't go wrong.
