Triplets Headed to Arizona

Here’s a set of 7 SAUM IMP Triplets headed to @nakneker in Arizona. It’s not that often that we get to work on 3 of almost identical builds at the same time. These are pretty cool and going to a great home where he will be sharing one with a family member, one with a friend and he will be keeping one for himself.

Kauger Elite Actions
Proof 1-8” twist 20” Finish Barrels
McMillan ELR Hunter Stocks
Bix’n Andy Dakota Triggers
Hawkins Hunter DBM
MBM Beast Brakes

Those look great and from his past hunting stories you know they will get a workout.

Thanks for the kind comments guys and especially to Zack. We crossed paths a few years ago, Uncle Bill posts had a lot to do with that, my only complaint is that I didn’t meet him sooner. He’s been a lot of fun to work with, family man, as good as they come and his rifle’s shoot small. I probably should say negative things about the man, his wait times keep growing but I can’t. Gotta give credit were credit is due.

Last year we did a lot of remote back country hunting. Spent 13 days on one hunt, hiked a little over 107 miles in rough country with a lot of elevation. I was using a rifle with a 24” barrel and a suppressor. The rifle didn’t ride well in my Eberlestock backpack. During the hunt I swore I’d try something a bit shorter. When I got home I called Zack. I was gonna build another 7 Saum but he mention the improved version and said he had a client using them with good success. That’s when the idea for these rifles originated, my cousin and a good friend jumped on board and the triplets became a thing.

I’ll be doing the load development for all three rifles. It will be fun to compare them. I only drew one tag this year but our oldest daughter has two deers tags, one quality hunt and my wife also has quality deer hunt. The rifle should draw blood multiple times.

Thanks again Zack , it’s always a pleasure to talk rifles or whatever else we end up chatting about. Your a good man and your work is appreciated!

Beautiful trio!!
Can't wait to see and read the stories of the hunting.
One things for certain, your never just a customer with Zack, you develop a kinship and become family.
Not to mention his builds are scary accurate.

U bet Bro. Happy to share my experiences and opinions concerning Zack. He definitely is "habit forming" when it comes to custom builds. Several years now I have been helping lots of guys near and far to spend their $$$ on rifles that shoot exceptionally well. Not one have complained so far and I doubt I ever hear anything negative about him or his work. Nope, he is not perfect but he strives to turn out perfect work and it shows. Thank you for allowing Zack to build for you and thank you for all the kind words.

EDIT: Zack's stock painter turns out top quality work too.
