How does trimming and bullet pointing lower your ES?

I don't believe it lowers your ES. It is supposed to make the BC closer and better for long range shooting. Matt

That is the way I understood it,,I have never pointed or trimmed a bullet and have been doing a little research,,,,then I read this....Hoover meplat trimmer summary

Why should I meplat trim?

- Smaller group sizes
- More consistent velocities
- Lower extreme spread
