Trijicon tenmile scope warranty?

The warranty is for life to the original purchaser and is not transferable. Doesn’t that considerably diminish the value of the scope if you want to sell it by having no warranty? My son has one he is trying to sell but when he tells people that it has no warranty, they just loose interest. Have any of you had that problem?

I recently sent an Accupoint back to Trijicon that I purchased used off of ebay. Wanted a renewal on the tritium and whatever else they could find it needed. The charge for the tritium was $101 and R&R was $38. That cost would renew the 15 year warranty on the tritium. Was advised the tritium was as new and not needed. They did a parallax/re-zero/clean and fill and told me no charge. I'm getting two other Accupoints ready to send back for checkups and one does need the tritium. Having said that, even if I had to pay the $139 for the repairs, I wouldn't worry about buying a used Trijicon scope of any stripe.
