I have been thinking about the 2.5-10x56 to go on a calling rifle but I have not been able to look at or through one yet. They have a good reputation for combat optics, just curious if anyone has experience with their traditional type scopes.

I can only speak of one, and it may not be an accurate reflection on them as a whole but, the glass seemed quite good on it but the tracking was awful. ---Mike Ezell

Pick up one and notice the weight difference of other scopes. The one you mentioned is clear as can be, but the weight was very noticeable and must be considered for a walking calling rifle IMHO.

I finally got to check them out at a scheels. The 3x9 is nice and light but it was not as clear as the 2.5-10 plus the 56mm bell has got to bring in more light especially at night and that was the main reason for this scope for me because we can't use lights here in Missouri. Also looked at the 5-20 or whatever their big one is. I was not impressed with it. It had the mil dot reticle and the very center was all that was illuminated and it was very small, smaller than Burris' electro-dot. Their big scope in my opinion is not up to par with other scopes in that price range in quality of optics, Maybe I should not have looked through the nightforce first but it was not nearly as good as my VX3's and I would even rate my 4200 elite as a better scope. I ordered the 2.5-10 at a substantial savings compared to what scheels was asking. I am going to get it mounted up today and see if I can get used to the triangle reticle. It is going on a 20" bull DPMS upper so it is not the lightest rifle in the world anyway I am a big enough guy I guess I will just have to live with the extra weight.
