Trigger ?

I have a 700 Hv in ppc and im not just sure what the trigger is but it seems to be lose. I can move it side to side and it feels slightly like a two stage trgger; it will give just a hair then i pull a slight more and if fires. Keep in mind this rifle is about 10 or more years old and was build by a hall of famer, but is this normal or should i have it looked at. Thanks for the Help.

You need to identify the triggers maker then you can figure out how to adjust it. After 10 years I am sure all the adjustments need tweeking.

You should also plan on taking it apart and cleaning out all the gunk. I had to do this on a trigger that was on an older BR rifle I bought. It was doing fine but I decided to adjust the sear engagement and overtravel to the recommended settings and the trigger quit working. After I took it apart I was amazed at the amount of gunk and am surprised it worked in the first place.

I have some shims that will take out the side play that some of the older Jewels have.
