Trigger Question

I am new to this so I have a question about triggers.

Is there a trigger made that I could use for dual purpose like Predator/Paper shooting? I know they used to make double set triggers but I was hoping they might have something like it but with just one trigger....

Any input would be appreciated.

I think what most dual use shooters do is have the trigger set at about 2.0-2.5 lbs..would be able to still shoot with gloves on for varmints (coyotes etc) winter and still not too heavy for paper use..at least thats what I do..~Danny

If your rifle can accept a Jewell trigger .... Look up Larry Scott's web page. I think (?) they have one that is adjustable from approx 1-4#. They are a snap to adjust without taking the action from the stock.

If not then check out Timney. WD

Howdy !

CANJAR used to make a trigger that :
- Had an approx 4lb trigger pull in conventional mode
- Had a 4oz ( or so ) trigger "pull", when the trigger shoe was pushed forward. Once repositioned forward, a small tab emerged at the
bottom front of the trigger shoe. A light touch on the tab, released the trigger w/ about 4 oz of effort .

I DK if CANJAR is even around, anymore. We used one of those CANJARS on a Ruger M-77 in 250 Savage. It was great for use on BOTH paper, and groundhogs.

Perhaps you could find one of those triggers, by placing a " WTB" ad @ "Accurateshooter.com" ?

The Jewell HVRTSBR adjusts from 1.5 oz-3.5lbs Its done through the trigger guard, w/no disassembly. Larry

Install a Jewell trigger group purchased from Larry Scott.

A 2 stage trigger group isn't compatible w/ most shooters.

A set trigger means they didn't get the design right the first time.
