Trigger Options

Need to hear what trigger your running in your Winchester Model 70 Varmint heavy barrel pre-MOA. I'm definitely wanting something that will adjust under a pound, if possible, as this will be shot off a bench.

Quality triggers I have used are on a M70 are:
  • Anschutz (which requires a custom adaptor for a M70 and mods to the trigger too)
  • Canjar
  • CG Extreme
  • Jewel
  • Kenyon

Of all these the only one I know that you can buy new (actually a copy) is the Kenyon from Pacific Tool & Gauge. You can probably find a used Jewel if you are patient, the others will probably be harder to locate and of course expensive. The PTG Kenyon is pretty good though.

You may be stuck with a Rifle basix or Jard trying to get down to the 1lb unless you run across a Jewell.
This is were Rem 700's and clones shine is the after market parts.
I hear you on the 700 and clones! There's a Jewel in the ads, but doesn't say for what rifle.

I just got a shilen comp that is 2 — 6oz
on recommendation from smith doing my project. There is no safety on that model. They do offer a 2nd model with a bit higher range and a safety.
They also have a standard steel model and a stainless.
Fingers crossed it works out.
Good luck

Does Shilen make one for a Win 70?
