Trigger hanger...

My wife had a trigger issue last weekend at the score nationals and fortunately a great fellow shooter @WillyTP let us borrow a spare he had so she could finish the match.
This week I replaced the jewell with a farley I had and used the 30 setting on the hanger that had previously worked, and it wouldn't reset.
I then switched to the 0 and all was well.
My question is with the different trigger hangers 0-10-20-30 how do you determine which one is best other than trial and error and what in particular are you looking for?

Is it a bat action? If it is.
I’ve messed with them but I’m no expert, if I’m not mistaken it more or less means more cock on close, thinking the 0 needs to be in the front to make less feel closing the bolt. I would assume it would a more trial and error issue to figure which one it would need.

It is in fact a Bat SV.
With the Jewell trigger the hanger was on 30 but with the Farley it only worked on 0.
Apparently there must be a slight difference in dimensions between the two.

If you place 30 towards the front it places the trigger .030 further back than when you have the 0 towards the front. When you have the 0 towards the front you have the least cock on close but also the least amount of firing pin fall as well. They also make a 10/20 hanger as well. I may have one if you decide to try that let me know.
