Trickling Single Grains of Powder

I'm curious to hear what techniques people use to trickle up to the final charge weight with single-powder-grain accuracy, assuming extruded stick powder).

Only way I know is to pinch a few from a side pan, and drop one at a time.
I've had no luck finding a single granule dispenser of any type.

A plastic 1/4 teaspoon from the kitchen works fine. After you work with the different powders with it you will get to a point that you can almost look at the last six or eight grains and know how many to drop. I been doing this for well over twelve years now. I tried all the dispensers and frankly I would not give you five cent for any of them. They simple do not work for me. I am happy with my 1/4 teaspoon and small plastic cup. Works fine for me. Thanks, Bill

That is neat man. I'll be looking for one of them jokers. Do you have any web-sites right off the top of your head? Thanks, Bill

I use my clean index finger and thumb. Works like a charm and is very quick.

Gunamonth told me about these seed things over a year ago....I have a couple of them from Park... I use them every time I load...Especially with my MX123...

Here is another place that has them.

Seed planter works great.

I was playing around a bit and tried something that works well for me.

I ground a piece of fired "range brass" diagonally so that it is a "scoop" for powder. I then pinched the end with pliers into an opening with a narrow size so that only a single grain can go through at a time. I fill the body of the cut case with powder. Trickling is done by holding it over the pan using the thumb and middle finger and tapping it with the index finger.

By adjusting the opening size, I have it tricking single grains pretty reliably.
