Never had an issue in IL. transporting a rifle. Keep it unloaded and in a case. Il. residents have to have a FOID card (Firearm Owner I.D. card). All bets are off passing through Chicago. You may want to be locked and loaded with your head down! Personally, I drive 100 miles out of my way not to go through Chicago.markT said:
