Tract scopes

There is an add in the classifieds for one of these scopes. I started to post this there, but thought it should be here.

Not a lot of people know much about Tract scopes. I sold three NightForces and now have four Tracts. Outstanding scopes in my opinion, and a lot of scope for $900. If it was MOA, I’d be thinking about adding it to my collection.
I had two questions which I texted Tract on two different occasions.
1- if I buy used, will the warranty transfer to me? I sent this around 10 pm on a week night. Within five minutes one of the owners responded with an absolutely!
2- later on a Sunday afternoon, I asked for the recommended ring height for my two 4.5-30 scopes for two different actions.
Again within five minutes one of the owners replied with the info. Customer service second to none! Like comparing a box store to a mom and pop business that really cares what customers think.

Just thought I’d share.

I agree, not many people have discovered them yet. I have two, I showed them to my shooting buddy and he now has 3 or 4.
The middle man has been cut out and the savings are passed on to the shooter.
The glass, to my eyes, is very good and I have yet to “ tap on the scope” to make sure that the adjustments are working when I turn the turrets. I’m also surprised that the one in the classifieds hasn’t sold.

I have two different Tract Toric rifle scopes and one Toric Spotting scope, and all of them them are excellent. The lenses are made of Schott HT glass from Germany and the scopes are made by LOW in Japan. I can confidently say that the elevation turret and windage and parallax adjustment knobs are amazingly precise and provide excellent tactile feedback. I'm currently building a .22LR rifle with a Vudoo barreled action in an MPA BA Comp chassis, and I'll put one of my Tracts on it. It should be a great combo.

I also have two Nightforce ATACR scopes, and I think the Tracts give the NF scopes a serious run for their money. Dollar for Dollar, the Tracts clearly provide a better quality product. If Tract comes out with a 7-35 x 56 scope, I'll jump on it and will likely put my ATACRs back in the boxes.

Much like the OP's experience, I remember researching Tract's products online during the Memorial Day weekend of 2021. I decided to use their online Chat feature to ask a couple of questions and within a few minutes, I received a response from one of the owners, Jon, with the answers to my questions. Btw, both owners are "Jon", spelled the same way. Both are super nice guys and will personally answer all emails and online Chat messages. I will buy from them again.

I had my 4x20-50 MOA Tract listed for a few weeks and got very little interest. Just passed it off as a new line that was not public passed yet. Good glass for the price, but still as a company have a way to go to win over the public

I'd watched a few vids and seen mention of Tract in various places. Was in the market for another scope. Knew I wanted a Japanese build, decided I'd try a Tract, which is taking a heck of a chance here in Canada, add 1/3 to 1/2 at least, to the price, just due to frt & exchange, along with paperwork req'd. Tract made the paperwork side really easy. Returning stuff is expensive and a general PITA, usually not worth doing, selling something unknown is too.
Got the Toric UHD 4.5-20x50 w/PRS reticle.
I was impressed with the cust serv and with the product when it when it arrived.
After using it a few times and getting used to it, very happy with it, no issues with buying another one. And Tract has made it easier with opening a Cdn website now. I just can't decide which gun needs a new scope.

I was thinking of giving them a try, but cannot find an specs on their website on weight, total adjustment, FOV, etc. Was it there and I somehow couldn't find it?

Their specs are listed right on the site?! Just click on a scope and scroll down. Is there a specific spec you are looking for but cannot find?

I have had 2 tracts. The tekoa is a decent scope at a good price, but the toric is truly a masterpiece.

Thanks Prose! Its a loooong way down the page but it is there.
Yep, the specs are a bit further down the page after hitting the "Buy Now" button on the model you're interested in. I sent the link to the Specs page for my Tract scope to Vudoo when spec'ing out my barreled action so they can make sure we had the proper picatinny scope base for my build.
