The video in the picture is a fast overview of these binos. Sounds like James Eagleman worked with tract on these which in my opinion is a good thing. I know he teaches LR shooting Barbour Creek and knows his way around RF binos with ballistics. Sounds like these will be using Eagle Ballastics not AB. In the video he touches on a few key features and shows how you sync with the app to upload ballistic profiles to the unit. Tract will hold 5 profiles, if you want more that’s not a deal breaker, it takes less than two minutes to override a profile and add whatever profile you like. Your inactive profiles remain on the app and can swapped out in a couple minutes.. The wind feature might be the most attractive feature me, you can range one direction, then range another and the internal compass will adjust for wind direction accordingly. The wind feature looks well thought out and easy to use. They will figure your environmentals.
Im currently using Gen2 Kilo10s which go everywhere with me during hunts, they just work, glass is decent and they simplify things. One of the things I like about them is how easy they are to navigate as far as ballistic profiles. These Tracts sound like they will be just as easy, at least from he shows in the video. The Tracts will have Schott glass. Depending on their price they may gain a good share of a very competitive market. I’ve tried a couple of their scopes and was very happy with quality and price, Im sure these will be similar.
I’d like to try a pair. Also, he mentions the software for you android users that will be ready to go this spring. I would have downloaded a link but my IPad was being stubborn. The video is easy to find on you tube though.
