Tract or Athlon

Well was hoping for some feedback on these two scopes.
I shoot Fclass I use nightforce comp scopes but this is for another rifle in 6.5x47 not for fclass it's just for grabbing out the safe and putting a bipod on and shooting steel.
I call it my timeout rifle comp shooting gets a bit intense at times and I need to step back now and then and do something different.
So I have never used FFP scopes before so thought I would go down that path and give one ago so I'm torn between these two.
Athlone Ares et 4.5 x30x56
FFP MOA.

TRACT TORIC UHD
4X20X50
FFP MOA.

Now price wise I'm going to get bent over here in Australia both will be in the $2000 bracket my 3 comp scopes were $3200 each so as you can see my pocket will be getting another hole put in it.
I'm not so concerned with the price I just want the best I can get for my cash as we all do.
Any advice would be very grateful my heads hurting lol.

Of the choices given I would go with the Tract since from my research the Athlon is manufactured in China and the Tract is manufactured in Japan. I would also look into Sightron. The one retail sight I looked up in Australia shows the 6x24 FFP Sightron to be closer to $1600.

Read a review of the Athlon Ares at SnipersHide.com. You may be impressed. I have two Athlon scopes and am totally satisfied.
 
I have 3 Athlon scopes - Midas BTR , Ares BTR , and a Cronus. Even though the Midas and Ares are assembled in China,they are very well built optics. They will perform right with other scopes in their price ranges that are made in Japan.
The Cronus is built in Japan,and it runs real close with my other $2k-$3k scopes. While I've only used these scopes for a couple years,they have worked excellent with zero issues,and I really like the reticles that they offer.
 
I won’t buy another scope built in China.
While Athlon has an excellent warranty and customer service, both Athlon Chinese scopes I have owned have needed to be sent back and replaced.
But they are hard to beat for the $. The replacements have ran good.
 
Yes I'm still on the fence not sure I will wait until rifle is finished I do have scopes laying around to use but I'm still keen on the tract toric.
To be honest I could grab a nightforce nxs for about $2500 here the tract would end up about $2100 I sold 2 nxs scopes mid 2019 kicking myself now.
I mentioned Athlone scopes in a conversation with gunsmith doing my rifle he wasn't to impressed knows guys that have them and everyone has been returned.
Oh well I shall wait a bit and see what evolves cheers for your suggestions I shall let yous know what I end up with.

I bought a Tract 2x10x42 simply because they had it on sale for $274. I intended to use it on a truck gun, but the reticule is too fine to see in low light. So I emailed Tract and got a response back the same day saying they would take it back and refund or trade with the purchase price applied to another choice. I decided to keep it and put it on a .22lr that I am shooting at 200 yds. It is very clear and returns to zero so far. If I were to spend a chunk of money on a scope, I would want to physically see the reticule.

Not able to physically see the ret is my concern but none around here to look through.

Have the 4-20x50 PRS reticle version Tract, it is a fine reticle, but, a very well built scope. At the time I got it, there weren't any in Cda to speak of, at least, noone to talk to about it. Took a chance and ordered it sight unseen, was not disappointed in the least. I have a Delta and a Sightron, the Tract is the finest reticle of the three.
