Torque Driver suggestions

I just found out that the torque I just had reconditioned doesn't go high enough to meet the requirements Choate specifies on their Varmint stock, for my switch bbl. Savage.
So I'm looking for suggestions for a torque driver that won't "brake the bank"

What torque range do you need?

Choate suggests 55 to 60 In./lbs. It was suggested to take a known MOA load and work up in 5 In./# increments and see what the results are. I've shot a few 1", 5 shot groups using the Savage 223 bbl. and will stay with it for a little longer. My concern will be when I switch to the 308 Bbl.
Thank you for all the links.
I couldn't figure out which one from the video is on the Borka site, BUT the Midway / Weaver has the same range. Do you know how it's settings "chart" to actual values ?

Sorry, I don't know what the linear chart looks like over the range of settings but it's essentially the same design as the one in the video. I'm confident that, at least, I am not over tightening screws. That's been my greatest fault and it sure puts a delay on the shooting schedule when I have to have a merchant mail me the replacements.

I use a Choate Varmint Special stock with one of my Savage actions. 35# works fine. Never experimented with more or less torque as it shoots fine and has never come loose.

Wayne,

Buy once, cry once. After having several less expensive torque drivers fail or give inconsistent results, I bought a CI 0-75 in-lb dial torque wrench (Model CI751LDNSS) from Pro Torque for $148.40.

Same here. German and US manufacturing, and it's an exceptional tool. Works for everything from scope ring screws to action screws to ring cross-bolts. (although I got the CDI 752LDINSS, which is similar)
