a consesus yet on what reamer bluprint to use from Pacific Tool & Gauge for 7mm saum 1000 yard rifle? This is with Berger 180 VLD's or the new Hybreds.

I am too new to Qualify as a top shooter. I will share what I have learned from my passionate pursuit of extreme accuracy with the 7mm SAUM. I have very limited match shooting, how ever I do have a 1000 yd range on my farm and do all my testing at 1000 yd. My LG is .188 free bore and has done fine with the 180 VLD and the new 175 XLD, which is very sleek and seats farther out in the lands. For the 175 XLD the .188 is about max. My gunsmith, who has helped me alot, was very impressed with the 175 XLD and decided to send the reamer back to Dave Kiff and have it shortened. I got a HG and he reamed a new barrel for it. We don't have an exact measurement, but as near as I can determine, It is about .088 free bore. This pushes the 180 VLD deeper in the case and I think it is about as deep as I would want them. What is interesting is I picked up about 60 fps with the same loads. IMHO anything between these twc free bores will work for all three berger bullets.
