When the 7mm talks: the conversation ends.
Hey All:
In my first post to this fantastic resource, I mentioned that I mic'd all the various measurements on a 150 gr. Nosler Ballistic Tip,nose length, meplat, bearing surface, boat-tail length, etc.)for use in calculating the Sg.
I tried calling Nosler and Hornady asking for their various
dimensions, and they laughed at me, not really laughed, just
kinda chuckled...
Bryan Litz from Berger responded with a better set of dimensions for me.
Knowing that Berger, Nosler, Hornady, Speer, Sierra, Barnes, etc, etc, etc, are all using optical comparators to get nearly exact measurements on each other's bullets, why the secret keeping?,Because, if the competition already knows, why keep the secret from the shooting public?)
BTW... How do you accuratly go about measuring the nose radius of secant ogive bullets without a comparator?
