I have a 221 barrel on order. I wonder how well it will shoot compared to a 222?
Sorry about that. The cartridge is a 222. It's on the target but kind of hard to read my writing. AR Comp has been working pretty well for me shooting 223, 222, and 6BR so far.
I've taken my 14 twist 223 Shilen to the range 2-3 times so far and it has shot OK with Berger 55s and around 24 grains of AR Comp. Here's a couple targets of 5 shot groups at 100 yards with the 223 and AR Comp:
AR Comp also worked fine with Berger 77 OTMs through a Shilen 7 twist 223.

to break it in and test some loads. Used Berger 55 grain FB targets and AR Comp. I think I will keep going up a bit with the powder charge but there isn't much room left in the case. Seems to shoot pretty well so far with 5 shot groups at 100 yards in the .1s and .2s. One might just squeak
Is that a shilen select match?
