Too many midrange cleans!

Don't know if you are referring to National Championships scores, or local matches...

How about if we just use the correct target to begin with - MR-1FC/MR-1FCA. Some E-target systems are still wrong years after the ring sizes changed...

If we reduce the sizes of rings, E-targets would show more scoring errors. Regardless of the spin placed out there by the makers and fans of E-targets, they do incorporate errors and the bigger those errors are as a percentage of the scoring rings, the greater the chance that the target will randomly change the outcomes of matches (not that they don't already).

I'd be happy to support the idea if we didn't have those concerns...

How are they unbreakable?

How do you do a Creedmoor-style count-back on a 600-60X?

About the only option at that point is a shoot-off - first person to drop one loses. While suitably dramatic, it's a bit of a PITA for the people running the match, and it'd really suck to 'lose' because you ran out of 'extra' rounds...

Personally, I've not cleaned a 600y yet; so if we could just move the 9-ring to an X ring; that'd be great. Oh, and just put that participation trophy out at 600, don't worry it's safe.

All joking aside, it's impressive to see the improvements made in the past 10-15 years. Belly bench rest indeed, my son really enjoyed pulling targets in the pits.
