Titanium actions

I'm curious has anyone ever built a custom action from titanium? We use it building landing gears for planes and its lighter and stronger than steel so it got me thinking why not build an action from it?

I'm curious as well if I provided a piece to be machined into an actin if there's a quality action builder who would machine one?

I have one of John's Titanium receivers. It is very nicely made. Titanium is sticky, so mine is going to Oerlikon Balzer's PVD WCC treatment to take care of that. It is at Brown Precision for a custom Kevlar 18oz. stock.

Can you explain a little on the pvd wcc treatment? I've got a pierce titanium as well. Thanks

I've seen and worked one of Stu Satterlie's Ti rifles. It has the Balzer treatment. It would be best for you to go to Balzer's website to get the info. They are a pretty large world wide company with a few plants in the USA. I believe it is put on with a pulsed electrical charge.
It is very slick.
