Tiptons Bore Cleaner

Speedy was sent a few bottles of this stuff to try and gave me one and it is the most effective cleaner I have ever used period. Did not use a brush just patches on 2 rifles 1 was mine a Krieger 6BR and my buddies factory 16in Ruger 308 factory rifle. Both were just about perfect with just a tiny bit of copper wash in mine but I only did not leave it in but a couple minutes at a time. Put a patch in later and let it sit for 15 min and got it all.

Anyone else use this product?

Yes--use it in a well ventilated area!! Sinus troubles one whiff will cure it--don't ask how I know hehehehe:cry:! Reminds me of Sweets a little bit but is in a wide mouthed jar.

Tipton Truly Remarkable Bore Solvent

I've always liked the quality of Tipton products. I'd sure like to hear more user experiences with this new solvent, and how it stacks up against Montana X-treme BMG 50 for instance.

I bought a bottle of the stuff...it is stinky...Thick consistancy..use it mostly at the range & sparingly..I run a couple of dry patches through the bore to remove the loose carbon...I soak a patch & send it down the bore..maybe a second patch or a nylon brush just a few strokes..A blue/gray mess usually comes out..If it is really nasty I repeat the brush/tipton stuff..patch out the goop..when dry enough I brush the bore with a solution of Kroil/hoppes 50/50..or just kroil oil to nutralize the stuff..couple more dry patches & then I'm back to shooting...Seems effective..pretty quick & easy to use...I think it is expensive like 15.00 but it works,oh yeah one other thing..I keep those nylon brushes away from everything else in my cleaning kit till I get home & then I wash the bristle brushes in reg dishwashing soap & water.it blues up everything bronze ...mike in ct
