Tipton cleaning rod problem

rebs

The handle stopped turning freely, has anyone else had this problem. Is there any way to fix it?

You got cleaning solvent in theBearings I suspect.I took a Boretech apart to try and clean up the bearings on one. It's now relegated to a range rod for emergency use only. I try and keep them oiled.

Did you get that metallized (or whatever it is) grease all over the damn place? Oh, wait; never mind; mine are Dewey rods. Dripped a bit of light oil into the bearing area; had grey grease coming out for months afterward. Upside is I only did one rod; I can tell by looking at the end of the handle which has the jag and which has the brush. The jag is the one with grease all over the nut.
