Timney trigger

I am very happy with every single contact/purchase I have ever made with Timney, in fact, every purchase has been with the same guy Tbone.
Very pleased.

Cheers.

I have a Timney Calvin Elite on a precision AR build. Great trigger but after a few months one of the torx screws failed. The shoe is fully adjustable but one has to torque down the screw pretty heavily in order for the shoe to maintain its position during normal use. Called Timney and they promptly sent me a new trigger shoe mounting piece and torx screw. I offered to pay but they declined. Good customer service for sure.

Guess I’m the exception. Bought their 3-way adjustable 788 trigger in 2006. Nearly went crazy trying to find the overtravel screw. Finally called Timney and learned that the 788 trigger indeed has only two adjustments. I was told “The trigger is so crisp that it doesn’t need that adjustment”. When I pointed out that the trigger was advertised as 3-way adjustable and the packaging says the same, I was told “Yeah. I’m sorry”.

Built a completely custom .308 Mosin-Nagant to shoot in F-Open , just for giggles , and the only good trigger available was the Timney . Those guys have gone to the wall to help me get it adjusted , and working to the einth degree . Good customer service . Always treated first class when I go there . Have three of their triggers in M-N's , and couldn't be happier with the triggers , the company , or the customer service . Sorry to hear you had a bad experience .

Now, this is the Timney that I am getting to know.

Well, I finally got my trigger, but the communication was practcally non existant.
I'll be putting it on my rifle tonight and see how it is.

Any time I had a question,I got an answer promptly.I have several of their triggers, and one of them is on a 788.I don't recall if overtravel is adjustable on it or not.I'm going to get a Calvin Elite for my latest build, but Shilen took all my money for a barrel.I think Timney's a great company, and their products are very well made.I've never had to contact them about a problem because I've never had one.The first aftermarket trigger I ever bought was a Rifle Basix. It was a great advertisement for Timney.I still have it in my junk box.Been waiting to give it to someone I don't like.
