Timing Geiselle Super 700

Installed a Geissele Super 700 trigger in my Borden action and I was able to close the bolt, squeeze the trigger. However, the bolt is then locked in the closed position and I had to remove the trigger to open the bolt. The cocking piece is binding.
Talked to Borden and he said it’s a design flaw on Geisseles part to not take into account the neutral cocking most custom actions.
He indicated it could be pricey for him to do a new cocking piece to work.
The whole point was to get a cheaper trigger to try out, if I’m going to end up back to Bix money, I’d just put a Bix in.
So, I would like to order a cocking piece from Brownells and see if I can get it to work. I look at is as a cheap potential learning project.
So I here asking if anyone is willing to give some advice. Advice via PM is fine and understandable too.
Thanks!

I tried the Geissele in the Pierce action and it functions fine. The cocking piece is quite different in both bolts (Pierce top, Borden bottom)
I see PTG offers multiple styles and Brownells offers a Remington replacement. First glance, the Pierce looks similar to a standard Remington cocking piece. Agree?

The trigger is resetting after firing, you would need to fill the cocking piece and extend it behind the surface that engages the trigger. I have made cocking pieces from scratch and done all kinds of modification work like this, buying a bix will seem cheap after the hours you will spend. The cheapest and easiest way would be to tig up your current cp and re machine it.

So instead of building up the current cocking piece (would like to keep it, if I want to use the CG trigger it is matched to), would buying a standard cocking piece from Brownells/PTG, etc. and tweaking it not work?

I don't mind the time and effort. I want to learn this, I just want to make sure the idea is feasible. And if so, any advice on best way to measure/guess the amount to remove. Or is it a trial and effort over and over?

New cocking piece worked. The old one was tuned for the CG trigger and just wouldn’t function with the Geissele.
